Paul Musgrove

Paul Musgrove

Paul Musgrove was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and raised in a variety of B.C. towns most of which looked pretty much the same. He was educated, after a fashion, in a few of those places.

Following a somewhat less than stellar academic career, he worked from 1963 to 1967 as a warehouseman, truck driver, forklift operator, tree planter and laborer. In 1967 he joined the Victoria Times as a cub reporter, leaving after 11 months. In 1969 he joined The Vancouver Sun as a reporter and spent the next 20 years covering fires, floods and furies along with various municipal councils and strange goings-on in a variety of small British Columbia towns, most of which looked pretty much the same.

In 1989 he transferred to the newsdesk of The Vancouver Sun, where he can be found to this day.

He resides a large old house with family, two cats and about 10,000 spiders, mostly in the basement.

The Mailman by Paul Musgrove
The Mailman

Twenty-three years ago, mailman Mel Manson, rumored to be a cousin of infamous cult leader Charles Manson, disappeared while on his postal route through the quiet mountain community of Tipple, Washington.

Today, following the brutal murder of a local girl, messages from the past are finally reaching their destinations. Has the missing mailman started delivering again, or are terrifying ghost stories more than just an urban myth?

As crimes and threats from would-be vigilantes rock the tiny town, police chief Samantha Bentley must confront her own past to unravel a tangled web of lies and legend in hopes of saving both reputation and family.

This gripping, tightly-written thriller relentlessly builds drama and menace en route to an explosive finale.
